Mark Ruffalo Shares New BTS Image From MCU’s 10th Year Photoshoot

A brand-new look at Marvel Cinematic Universe's 10th-anniversary photoshoot has been shared by Mark Ruffalo. Leading up to the Infinity Saga's end, Marvel Studios assembled most of its actors for a yearbook pictorial. The event was to commemorate the franchise's first 10 years. The images and an accompanying video were released in the lead-up to Avengers: Infinity War's release back in 2018.

The photoshoot was efficiently scheduled as it was also around the time that Marvel Studios was in production for Avengers: Endgame. Over the years, the stars who participated in the said pictorial revealed that the event was set during the tribute scene for Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in the Infinity Saga-capper film. That meant people were already on set in Atlanta at this point since almost all characters in the MCU were present during Tony Stark's farewell service. There were also behind-the-scenes videos that were sneakily posted on their respective social media accounts before Marvel Studios officially published the images.

Now, however, Ruffalo is evoking nostalgia by sharing a brand-new picture from the shoot in celebration of Benedict Cumberbatch's birthday. The Doctor Strange actor was the main focus of the snap, but in the background, actors such as Kurt Russell, Brie Larson, and a confused-looking Tom Holland can be seen. Check out the photo below:

In Infinity War, Ruffalo and Cumberbatch worked closely together — at least during the movie's first act. After Thanos (Josh Brolin) successfully hijacked the Asgardian refugee to Earth, Heimdall (Idris Elba) sent the Hulk to Sanctum Sanctorum to warn the Avengers of what's coming. Doctor Strange and Wong (Benedict Wong) then recruited Iron Man to the cause as they explained the looming danger. However, Bruce Banner and Strange went their separate ways when the sorcerer was kidnapped by Ebony Maw, resulting in his galactic adventure in Titan. Meanwhile, Banner, who still struggled to transform back into the Hulk, was left back home, subsequently joining Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) in Wakanda. It won't be until after the reverse snap in Endgame that their paths would cross again, although the movie didn't feature any more interaction from them.

After the Infinity Saga, both Ruffalo and Cumberbatch are still in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although it's uncertain when they will encounter each other again. Smart Hulk is set to appear in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk, while Doctor Strange has his work cut out for him in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness since the multiverse has been unleashed in Loki. Perhaps the only viable time for the pair to once again share the screen is in the inevitable Avengers 5.
