As the protector of the family and ruler of all things Kardashian, fans wonder how Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and family matriarch Kris Jenner feels each time a separation occurs between one of her children and their partners. Notorious for putting her family first, Kris is often supportive of her daughter’s partners and consistently voices her love and admiration.
Additionally, however, Kris is perfectly media trained. When scandal is at the forefront of the story, it can often be challenging to get any information from the tight-lipped matriarch. Sadly, her daughters and their husbands or boyfriends have been part of their fair share of scandals over the course of their relationships.
From cheating scandals to marriages that don't even last six months, the Kar-Jenner girls aren't known for the longevity of their romances. Despite the drama-filled breakups her daughters are known for, certain moments have shed light on Kris’ feelings toward some of her children’s most influential exes, revealing a few favorites over time.
Throughout KUWTK, fans were present for the many ups and downs of Kourtney's relationship with Scott Disick. With scenes involving pushing cash into a waiter's mouth, it was obvious why viewers and Kris disliked the self-proclaimed Lord. However, as Scott battled drug and alcohol addiction alongside the loss of his parents, attitudes towards his character began to soften. In a recent episode of KUWTK, Kris discussed the pair's future with Kourtney, mentioning that Scott "fits well" within the family. "There's nothing that I would love more than to see you live your life and grow old with someone, be happy and content and peaceful," she says. "It would always be so fabulous if it was the dad of your children, you know."
After four years of marriage, Khloé filed for divorce from NBA player Lamar Odom. During this time, Kris was in regular communication with Lamar, allegedly once revealing Khloé’s location to him, resulting in a confrontation between the exes. Khloé, unimpressed, later revealed she admires her mother’s love for her ex-husband, but there was a need to keep the relationships separate. “I feel like he needs us,” Kris later explained in an on-camera interview for KUWTK. “Lamar doesn’t have a lot of extended family, so when he reaches out, I’m going to respond. That’s what my heart tells me to do.”
More recently, Khloé has found herself amidst many scandals with on-again, off-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. After cheating on Khloé multiple times, Thompson made an appearance on KUWTK, expressing remorse to Kris personally for his past actions. “Well, because you hurt her, you hurt me, you hurt all of us,” Kris said. “The bottom line is we just want her to be happy and we want you to be happy and we want you to be happy as a family and we want True to be happy,” Kris explained.
During the KUWTK reunion special, Kris admitted to offering an escape for daughter Kim on the day of her wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries. During the episodes leading to the wedding, Kris was vocal about Kim keeping her last name, perhaps foreseeing the 72-day marriage.
Kris’ relationship with Kim’s recent ex-husband Kanye West is arguably the most uncovered of all the Kar-Jenner exes. Kanye once labeled his wife’s mother Kris Jong-Un alongside other controversial statements on Twitter, but fans have seen minimal rebuttal from Kris. Appearing on The Ellen Degeneres Show, the momager shared that she wished Kanye kept some of his thoughts to himself, but was overall supportive and wished him the best.
