Leonardo DiCaprio's recent social media post led to some lively commentary by Drew Barrymore. While DiCaprio was attempting to bring attention to climate change around the world, the post unintentionally also brought some feelings to light as well. Barrymore seized this opportunity to flirt with the actor using a clever line.
Barrymore grew up in Hollywood and starred in her first major blockbuster, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, at the age of six. Unlike many other child actors, she weathered the decades in pursuit of her theatrical career. Like Barrymore, DiCaprio also got his start in acting at a young age. His first major role was in the 1991 sitcom, Growing Pains, which also starred Kirk Cameron and Alan Thicke. While both stars have a long list of credits to their names, DiCaprio and Barrymore have only been in one movie together: the 1992 thriller, Poison Ivy.
An Instagram post by DiCaprio was meant to bring attention to rising temperatures on Earth, but what it really did was light a bit of a fire on the internet. The innocent post depicts changes to our climate and also explains the effects that it has on mankind. Barrymore initially vocalized her support for his statements and activism in the comments section. Along with being one of the most well-known names in Hollywood, DiCaprio is also considered a philanthropist and a vocal leader in regards to environmental issues like climate change. He created the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, an organization that focuses on the sustainable needs of our planet, and sits on several boards for groups with similar interests. Additionally, much to Barrymore's delight, DiCaprio is also considered one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors.
The match does actually seem like a dream come true for people who grew up in the '80s and '90s, but the advances by Drew Barrymore will probably not be returned. Model Camila Morrone is rumored to have been dating DiCaprio since 2017. The relationship has primarily been kept out of the public eye. Sadly, Drew Barrymore's social media posts have not elicited a response from the actor. The lack of a reply does not bode well for the possibility of a budding relationship between the two.
