Little People, Big World: Matt & Caryn Detail Their Next Big Move

Stars of Little People, Big World Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler are ready to make a big move in their relationship. Matt was previously married to Amy Roloff, with whom he shares four adult children: Zachary, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob. The pair rose to fame on their TLC show, which began airing in 2006 and is still going strong 22 seasons later. Unfortunately, viewers had to watch as the couple hit a rough spot in their marriage and ultimately divorced in 2016. In a twist that was a real shock to their audience, it was revealed that Caryn sent inappropriate photos and texts to Matt before he and Amy divorced.

Caryn has also been married before. She and her ex-husband Joseph Chandler filed for divorce in 2012. They also share two adult children, Brittany and Connor. Caryn and Joseph had a continual spat over whether or not their children should be allowed to appear on the reality TV show, with Joseph not allowing Caryn to expose their children to any TV cameras without his permission. Now that their kids are adults, though, they have made the decision to appear on the show. Caryn actually worked on the Roloff’s pumpkin farm as a manager, and then as Matt’s assistant, for a decade before her relationship with Matt began.

Matt and Caryn have recently opened up about the next steps in their relationship, which include moving to Arizona together. “Our grand plan right now is to stay committed, stay in love, go to Arizona and spend a tremendous amount of time together,” Caryn said (via Us Weekly). She also added the pair will live individually while in Portland but will still see each other a lot. “We’ve got the best of all worlds happening right now,” Matt said. The couple went on to joke about getting married, with Matt saying he hasn’t proposed “yet.”

Amy has also moved on and is now engaged to Chris Marek. Amy and Chris met in 2017 at a blind dating event, where Amy was originally matched with another suitor. However, Chris ended up inviting her on a motorcycle ride where the pair really connected. Fans believe the couple split for a short period after Chris was absent from Amy’s social media platforms. This followed a fight between the two where Chris left Amy alone at dinner during a road trip without explaining why. However, the couple was able to reconcile and are getting married on August 28. Matt and Caryn, however, will not be invited to their wedding. While Chris was originally open to inviting them, he realized that it could be awkward for Amy, and felt it was “better for everyone” not to have them there

Even though Matt and Caryn won’t be attending Amy and Chris’ wedding, it’s probably best not to cause any unnecessary drama on the couple’s big day. At least both Amy and Matt have been able to move on and find new partners that they’re happy with. For fans of Little People, Big World, it’s nice to see both of them excited to begin their lives with their new partners.
