Fans fell in love with the entire cast of Too Hot To Handle's second season, where several commitment-phobes had to get to know each other without intimate touching. Unlike season 1 of the Netflix series, this season had one winner. The title was allotted to the person who made the most progress on the show, ultimately going to Marvin Anthony. However, many fans are divided on who the prize should have gone to, with many saying Cam Holmes was robbed of the win.
The premise of Too Hot To Handle is for the cast to form more meaningful connections and relationships, all under the watchful eye of the Alexa-like cone, Lana. Once they couple up, they are sent on dates and put in romantic settings where they have to resist temptation and get to know their partner. Marvin and Melinda Melrose forged a quick, albeit rocky connection, and their relationship took a turn when they started trying to make each other jealous. On the other hand, Cam and Emily Miller were inseparable from the start, though they had a few stumbles when Cam almost kissed Christina Carmela and nearly got in a shower with Tabitha Clifft.
Although Marvin won season 2, some fans feel Cam was more deserving of the final prize. One Reddit user commented, "Cam and Emily were the only genuine couple." Another said, "Cam showed true, proper growth." Plus, fans loved "seeing him open up to Emily and trying to be communicative" at the end of the show. So, why was Marvin awarded the money?

By the end of season two, Marvin told Melinda he wanted to treat her with the same respect he did his mom and asked Melinda to be his girlfriend. Though he was leaving for Paris and she was headed back to New York, they seemed committed to their relationship. The cast seemed to see a growth in Marvin from his stubbornness towards Melinda in the beginning to their mature relationship, but fans weren't so convinced. Marvin also ghosted Melinda after the show and canceled their trip after they had an argument, showing that he may not have changed as much as fans thought.
Cam had nearly renounced monogamy before coming to the villa and was not anticipating a real connection, but fans immediately saw the spark between him and Emily. "Crafty Cam" interfered in their progress when Cam was tempted twice in the villa to stray from Emily, but he seemed to learn from his mistakes. To many fans' surprise, Cam was ready to commit to Emily by the season finale, asking her to be his girlfriend and even telling her he loved her. Fans felt Cam had a more steady, authentic growth on the show, especially since he and Emily have been dating and living together for much of the time since Too Hot To Handle ended. Still, there are other fans who believe neither Marvin nor Cam should have won the show. Some users felt their growth was only possible because of their partners, who should have been rewarded with the money.
