After ending in 2019, The Big Bang Theory inspired a spinoff based on Sheldon Cooper's childhood called Young Sheldon, but since that show hasn't fully filled the TBBT-sized hole in fans' hearts, many are rewatching the main series for their daily fix of Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj. What made this group of friends so special was their individual quirks and how they balanced each other out, and The Big Bang Theory effectively capitalized on those connections.
One way fans keep the show and its oddities alive is through the art of memes. Creating a meme to show off love for the show is not only humorous but it takes fans on a walk down memory lane. It's easy to feel nostalgic for the show when seeing the likes of Leonard and Penny and their one-liners in the shape of a meme.
9 Beverly And Sheldon Could Have Been Endgame

As perfect as Sheldon and Amy are, it would have been out of this world if Sheldon rebounded with Dr. Beverly Hofstadter during his and Amy's breakup. After all, Beverly and Sheldon showed small amounts of affection for each other. They both agreed that they were comfortable with each other, which was uncommon for them. Beverly even kissed him after a late night of drinking with Penny. Beverly may have ignored Leonard, but she was always available for Sheldon.
8 The Grammer Police: Sheldon And Amy Edition
There are a ton of reasons why Amy and Sheldon tied the knot. Aside from their love for each other, it was because of their mutual passion for science. Amy and Sheldon used to quiz each other on different aspects of science, but they also used to laugh at each other for using the wrong choice of grammar.
Fellow grammar-lovers loved Sheldon and Amy for this aspect of their relationship. They were able to be silly and lighthearted while also learning more about the English language. This meme brings fans right back to their inquisitive date nights.
7 Dimitri Was The True Physics Bowl Winner
When the group created a team to enter Caltech's physics bowl, they made the unanimous decision to cut Sheldon loose. As always, he was taking control and not letting anyone else answer the questions. Sheldon decided to create his own physics bowl team with faculty members who didn't know a thing about physics, which would allow him to answer every question. But when one question stooped Sheldon, former Russian physicist - who was now a janitor at Caltech - Dimitri answered the question correctly and could have helped Sheldon if he had taken him seriously. The storyline was hilariously similar to Good Will Hunting.
6 Sheldon Loved Pizazz
It's hard not to feel nostalgic when fans see Sheldon in his beloved plaid suit. Sheldon wasn't the most stylish scientist at Caltech, but when it came time for important moments where a suit was needed, Sheldon didn't shy away from prints.
When Sheldon needed to give a speech, Penny helped him find a suitable suit for the occasion. Instead of connecting to darker solids, Sheldon loved an all-white suit and plaid suit. It's hard for fans not to miss Sheldon when seeing his confidence rise in a checkered suit and red tie.
5 This Would Be A Classic Penny Comeback
Sheldon has some of the best comebacks in the series, but Penny is a close second. Fans miss her one-liners and jabs towards the guys — especially with Howard.
This fictional Twitter exchange between Raj and Penny looks as if it could be real because of how accurate it is. Raj would most likely post this picture to make it seem like he and Penny had some kind of couple, while Penny would put him in his place as kindly as she could. They're not a "couple" but they are a couple of best friends.
4 Penny's Lifestyle Was The Most Relatable
Fans didn't always understand the science jargon in the show, which is why some gravitated towards the character of Penny. Penny wasn't always the smartest person in the room but she reacted to her brilliant fans similarly to those watching. Likewise, her lifestyle of struggling financially, being a little messy, and tossing all of her laundry into one washing machine made fans giggle in appreciation. Penny didn't always have it figured out, making her relatable.
3 The End Of An Era
After 12 seasons and a ton of laughs, the ending of The Big Bang Theory was an emotional one. Fans felt as if they knew the characters and weren't ready to say goodbye. Likewise, the actors who portrayed the famed characters were equally emotional for The Big Bang Theory finale as they played these characters for 12 years. Just as Leonard became emotional when Penny did romantic gestures, fans became emotional at the show's goodbye.
2 The Rollercoaster Ride That Is Penny And Leonard's Relationship
When first watching the series, no one knew what Penny and Leonard's relationship timeline was going to be like. Were they always going to be in the friendzone? Would they ever be on the same page? The questions surrounding their relationship were endless. And just as Penny once told Sheldon, "Not knowing is part of the fun." Even when fans rewatch the series and know how Penny and Leonard turn out, watching their relationship grow is still fun.
1 Step Aside Woody, Howard Is In Town
When Howard, Leonard, and Raj traveled to Houston to take Sheldon home, Howard dressed in his Texas best: a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and a brand new shirt. It was one of Howard's best moments - especially when Mrs. Cooper saw him for the first time and mocked him for his attempt. Seeing Howard like this reminds fans why Howard was one of the funniest characters in the series. He never let embarrassment or the fear of trying something new get in his way.
