Chopper is the latest Star Wars: The Bad Batch character to receive his own poster from Lucasfilm. The Bad Batch began airing on Disney+ earlier this year, serving as both a spinoff and as a direct successor to the studio's first canon animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Viewers have praised the show for weaving in a diverse array of Star Wars references and characters from throughout the franchise's rich history; Chopper is the latest slice of Star Wars lore to make an appearance in the show.
The latest arc of The Bad Batch reintroduced audiences to younger iterations of the fan-favorite characters Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) and her astromech droid C1-10P (a.k.a. Chopper). The pair first debuted in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels, which actually chronologically takes place after the events of The Bad Batch. Although Hera appears much younger than she does in Rebels, Chopper seems to have not aged a day in the decade-and-a-half in-universe that separates the two shows. The pair's playful dynamic has also evidently remained the same throughout the years.
Disney has unveiled an official character poster for Chopper through the official Star Wars Twitter account. The poster depicts Chopper in his signature "salute" pose in front of an industrial backdrop. Check out the full poster below:

Unlike most other astromechs in the Star Wars universe that communicate through beeps and buzzes, Chopper is unique in that he communicates through almost speech-like grunting. Because the credits of every Rebels episode simply credited Chopper as "Himself" (a tradition that The Bad Batch is continuing), fans attempted to guess the mysterious uncredited voice actor throughout show's original run. It was only after Rebels' series finale did the credits finally reveal Chopper's voice actor to be none other than Lucasfilm director Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian).
With Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, and now Chopper all making appearances in the show, The Bad Batch has become retroactive reunion for the cast of Rebels. The show has become just as much of a prequel to Rebels as it is a sequel to The Clone Wars. Dave Filoni has played a significant role in bringing each of these three shows to life, so it's fitting that his mischievous little astromech droid would be honored with his own character poster. The most recent episode of The Bad Batch saw Hera and Chopper parting ways from the titular clone squad, but knowing Filoni, it's inevitable that the pair will show up again in future episodes.
New episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch release every Friday on Disney+.
