The recipe to a fan-favorite show has a healthy portion of romance, and Riverdale is a gift that keeps giving in that department. The ominous town harbors generational secrets, deep vendettas, hidden motives, vicious killers, and twisted motives, but the teen drama has several cute couples whose love and chemistry lightens the mood considerably.
In fact, fans are extremely invested in the love stories on Riverdale, and ship existing and wishful couples who they believe are perfect for each other. The world is familiar with monikers like Bughead, Varchie, and even Barchie, but the show has so many duos apart from the main four who define relationship goals and have their distinct dynamics which keeps audiences coming back for more.
7 Veronica & Archie: Endgame

Veronica and Archie, fondly known as Varchie, were the most talked about couple on Riverdale. Although it may have been spurred by Cheryl's Seven Minutes In Heaven game, the love between the two was real and they truly do complete each other.
The most iconic scene between the two, however, is one where they temporarily broke up after Archie got the all-clear from the judge on the murder charge placed on him. He decided that he needed to leave town to keep his loved ones safe from Hiram, and called Veronica to tell her that they were over, but not because he didn't love her. Ronnie tearfully declared that they were endgame, and Archie agreed with her, and this is a very telling scene between the couple.
6 Kevin & Fangs: Back To School

The origins of this couple may be a bit on the creepier side as they grew close while they were in The Farm, but it was their second attempt at a relationship that proved Fangs and Kevin were the real deal. After taking some time apart to come to terms with what happened to them at The Farm, they were together in college and were seen to be living together in the 7-year time-jump.
Their cutest moment was an everyday kind of scene. They seemed settled into their new place and Kevin was heading to his job as Riverdale High's drama teacher on the first day of school. Fangs noticed how nervous he was, and handed him a little milk carton and a goodbye kiss as he left for work, which was a wholesome daily moment that fans loved.
5 Jughead & Betty: I Love You

Few couples have managed to enrapture fans the way Bughead has. On the show, the two shared a common interest in solving mysteries and bringing justice to the wronged, and it was this interest that brought them closer together. They started spending more and more time trying to solve Jason Blossom's murder, and consequently on FP's case too, which led to the spark of romance.
Fans would agree that the moment Jughead and Betty admitted their love to each other was unforgettable. Betty told Jughead that she was never giving up on freeing his father, and Jughead declares that that was the reason why he loved her. It was a significant moment for both of them.
4 Cheryl & Toni: You're Sensational

While the show may have its drawbacks, it does its best to provide representation for LGBTQ+ couples. One of television's most loved couples, Cheryl and Toni, fondly known as Choni, had a beautiful and supportive relationship from the beginning, even though it may have soured towards its end in season 5.
It was clear that they understood each other at a fundamental level, and the connection showed in season 2, when Toni managed to get Cheryl to reveal the source of her heartbreak and pain at Pop's. After Cheryl finished confiding in Toni, the Serpent member had comforted Cheryl by telling her she was sensational and she would eventually find the love of her life, (and how right was she).
3 Archie & Betty: The Real Kiss

The antithesis of Varchie, Betty and Archie are the epitome of childhood friendship turning into young adult love. Barchie were well-matched: sincere and guided by their morals, the two neighbors had grown up together and shared so much in common that it only made sense that they would develop feelings for each other at some point. It took some time for Archie to look at Betty beyond just being a friend, but when he did it was pretty memorable.
Inarguably, the first real kiss that the pair shared sent chills down every fans' spine. After bad moments with their significant others, Archie and Betty met in the garage to sing and blow off some steam. The "Origin of Love" duet between the two brought out some hidden feelings, which culminated in TV's most electrifying kiss and a sentimental montage of their best moments over the years.
2 Alice & FP: Then Leave Him

Everybody loves a slow burn romance, and FP Jones and Alice were a duo who gave fans the satisfaction they wanted. Their love for each other made sense, and so did the reason why they couldn't be together for years.
The build-up of romantic tension to the relationship was one of the best parts of Falice. In season 2, when Alice aggressively confronted FP about how she felt Betty was being influenced into becoming a Serpent by going to their parties, the chemistry between them was unmistakable. FP told Alice to come and chaperone Betty, she said that Hal wouldn't, and he almost let slip his true feelings by suggesting "Leave him!" followed by at "At home."
1 Reggie & Veronica: Unspoken Love

Many believe that Reggie was a better fit for Veronica than Archie, mainly because their thoughts and values aligned a lot more. They thought deviously when they needed to, hustled to get things done when required, and also provided each other with support, companionship and camaraderie when things got tough. Their chemistry was off the charts, and together, they conquered the night life space with La Bonne Nuit.
Veronica seemed to bring out the good side of Reggie, as he was a softer, sweeter man in her presence. Their nicest moment was fleeting, but meaningful - he walked into the secret speakeasy when Ronnie was singing, and with just a look and smile, encouraged his lady love who noticed him and started singing to him in a crowded room.
