Support is one of the many roles for players to take on in Pokemon Unite. This guide will show players the best Support characters available in the game. When it comes to any competitive team-based game, players have tons of different roles they can take on. There's the DPS that focuses on dealing damage to the enemy team while the tank focuses on absorbing attacks from enemies. The Support role is one of the most important when it comes to helping out the rest of the team. The job is thankless but vital in securing that victory. Pokemon Unite requires players to use their Pokemon to the best of their ability to win the game. This guide will show players the best Support Pokemon to play in the game.
Roles are broken down into 5 different categories, Attackers, Speedsters, All-Rounders, Defenders, and Supports. In the case of Supports, these Pokemon will provide the team support by inflicting status conditions on opponents and providing healing to allies. These Pokemon will help the other roles do their job to the best of their ability. When the game officially releases, there are 3 Support Pokemon to choose from, Eldegoss, Mr. Mime, and Wigglytuff. This guide will show players the best to choose from out of this list of Support.
Out of the 3 available Support Pokemon, Mr. Mime will be the player's best bet for support. The margin of quality between it and Wigglytuff is pretty close but players will want to focus on these two if they want to be in the support role. Here's a breakdown of each.
- Mr. Mime: This Pokemon can learn Light Screen which will prevent enemy Pokemon from passing through the wall. This is great for allowing teammates the chance to escape. Once it reaches level 4, it will learn Psychic and this move will lower a Pokemon's Special Defense for a while. If the Pokemon is hit by multiple attacks, it won't be able to move. This is the best Support available.
- Wigglytuff: This is a solid secondary option out of the bunch. At Level 4, it can learn Sing which will slow down enemy Pokemon's movement speed. Its melee attack, Pound, can also lower the Pokemon's Defense and Speed.
Eldegoss isn't bad but its abilities fall short when compared to the mentioned 2. Overall, the metagame will continue to change once the game officially releases. This has the potential to be one of the biggest Pokemon titles out there.
